The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly seasonal flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against seasonal flu.

Who should get the seasonal flu vaccine?

The CDC recommends annual vaccination against flu for all persons aged six months and older, including all adults.
Children between the ages of six months and eight years should receive a second dose at least four weeks after their first vaccination.
Additional information about flu vaccination is available on the CDC website.
