CDC ADDS TO COVID-19 SYMPTOM LIST

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added three new items to the list of COVID-19 symptoms. Those additional symptoms include congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus and can range from mild to severe. For information from the CDC about COVID-19 symptoms and when to seek emergency medical care, go to CDC: Symptoms of Coronavirus

COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated information for pregnant women and the potential for increased illness from COVID-19. If you are pregnant and have questions about COVID-19 we encourage you to reach out directly to your OB-GYN or primary care provider (PCP). For information from the CDC about pregnancy and COVID-19, go to CDC: Pregnancy & Coronavirus

FACE MASKS HELP SLOW THE SPREAD OF COVID-19

Cloth face coverings may help prevent people who have COVID-19 from spreading the virus to others. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has emerging evidence from clinical and laboratory studies that shows wearing cloth face coverings reduces the spray of respiratory droplets from person to person. For more information from the CDC, go to CDC: Effectiveness of Cloth Face Coverings

Please note that visitors to our Health Care Centers are required to wear face masks for the safety of all. We are happy to provide masks to those who may need them.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE

As we are experiencing extremely high call volumes due to COVID-19, we apologize for any longer-than-average wait times you may have when calling in to your Martin’s Point Health Care Center. Thank you for your patience as we work together to keep our patients and our community healthy and safe during this time.

We encourage you to visit our new and improved website, where you can log in to the MyMartinsPoint® patient portal as an alternative way to reach your provider or request prescription refills. You will also find helpful resources to keep you and your family safe and informed at MartinsPoint.org/Patients

Please note that, at this time, we are limiting our COVID-19 testing to Martin’s Point Health Care Center patients only. As always, we are here for you and committed to providing you with the care and service you need. Your safety and health are of the utmost importance to us.
