Honor Flight Maine

Honor Flight Maine is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's Veterans for all their service and sacrifices.

Honor Flight is conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials of the respective war they fought in Washington, DC, at no cost to the veterans.

Honor Flight Maine flew its first mission in April 2014, and has transported 1,290 veterans to Washington, D.C. in the years since.

Martin’s Point monetary donations help transport heroes to Washington D.C. to tour, experience and reflect at their memorials. Employee support is also shown through participation in Welcome Home events for the Veterans when they return from their life-changing trips.

Did you know?

Today, there are 129 hubs operating in 44 states fulfilling the Honor Flight mission. Nationwide, over 300,000 veterans have participated in an Honor Flight.

On the way back from their trip, Veterans open special letters of support that were written to them from local businesses, family, friends, etc., some of which they have not spoken to in years.
