Cultivating Community

Cultivating Community- woman gardening

Growing sustainable communities by expanding access to healthy, locally grown food.

Founded in 2001, Cultivating Community’s place-based programs prioritize people most likely to experience hunger and be excluded from access to fresh food and land – including children, immigrants, people of color, older adults, and those with limited resources.

Cultivating Community works to expand access to food through modeling, teaching, and advocacy. This empowers people of all ages to play diverse roles in restoring local, sustainable food systems.

Martin’s Point provides financial support for Cultivating Community programs and builds awareness of their important work.

Martin's Point's ongoing financial contributions support children, youth, and adults to learn and create sustainable food systems that promote food security and financial independence in local immigrant families.”
