Cultivating Community grows sustainable communities by expanding access to healthy, local food; empowering children, youth, and adults to play diverse roles in restoring local, sustainable food systems; and modeling, teaching, and advocating for ecological food production.
Martin’s Point provides financial support for Cultivating Community programs and builds awareness of their important work through our partner video.
From July through October, participants in Cultivating Community’s Farmer Training Program sell produce at farm stands in Portland and Lewiston.
"We are grateful for supporters like Martin’s Point who understand the importance of food justice for all, particularly for New Americans making their home in southern Maine. Martin's Point's ongoing financial contributions support children, youth, and adults to learn and create sustainable food systems that promote food security and financial independence in local immigrant families.”
