Portland Trails is a nonprofit urban land trust that that has created and maintains a 70+ mile network of trails and green spaces that connect people with places in Greater Portland.
Martin’s Point has partnered with Portland Trails since 2006, supporting their efforts to transform Greater Portland into a healthier community through conservation and recreation. We sponsor their Adopt-a-Trail program and other events, and Martin’s Point volunteers join trail clean-up efforts, including maintaining the seaside trail that borders our Veranda Street campus.
The Portland Trails network includes over 70-miles of trails in Portland, Westbrook, South Portland and Falmouth. The trail network reaches within a half mile of every resident, and within a quarter mile of 95% of all Portland residents.
Martin's Point is one of our generous long term business partners who does not just talk about healthier communities. They invest in activities that support the health of their employees and the public. The employees volunteer to maintain and improve local trails. Martin's Point has sponsored events we host that get the public moving outdoors and connecting with nature and other people. Martin's Point "walks the walk" and we love walking together with such a thoughtful, kind and generous partner.
