Partners for World Health (PWH) works to improve health care and reduce environmental impact by collecting surplus medical equipment and supplies and distributing them to communities in need globally and locally.
Additionally, PWH works to improve health conditions by deploying medical teams on missions to developing countries and raising awareness about global health issues within New England communities.
Every year, Martin's Point volunteers help sort and pack donated medical supplies destined for countries in need across the world. In 2024, we also boosted awareness of their mission and signature fundraiser, "Blue Wrap Project Runway," displaying their creative fashions at our Portland Health Care Center and helping raise over $130,000 in event donations.

PWH is the only New England-based nonprofit that collects, repackages, and distributes medical supplies to those in need.
Since 2009, PWH has collected more than 5 million pounds of medical supplies that would have otherwise been destined for local landfills.
