Snow Shovelers Ready to Help Maine Seniors
Many Maine elders need help clearing snow after winter storms. Thankfully, many towns and communities have volunteers ready to meet this need. Requirements for each program vary, but generally, towns match volunteer shovelers who come after each storm to remove snow from steps and walkways (driveways and roofs excluded) for no charge.
This list includes the local snow removal programs we’re aware of. If you don’t see your town listed, call your city hall or town offices and ask if your community offers snow removal for seniors. You might also try local churches and high schools to find a volunteer.
