The Martin’s Point Summer Internship Program gives students hands-on work experience in their area of interest. We offer paid internships across a variety of departments, including Health Care Center Operations, Health Plan, IT, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and more.
Summer interns must be enrolled in a two- or four-year degree program at the time of application and must reside in the state of Maine throughout the internship program.
Internships at Martin's Point last 12 weeks, beginning in late May and ending in mid-August. Prospective interns must be enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate program at the time of application.
Our internships are paid opportunities ($20/hour) and may be fully remote, hybrid, or in-person depending on the department.
Health Care Center Operations
Health Care Center Internships offer the opportunity for Interns to provide support for various quality improvement initiatives primarily through supporting teams in obtaining patient records to support holistic patient care.
Health Plan Operations
Health Plan Interns will gain exposure to key functions of health plan operations and learn important concepts needed to understand our health care system.
Health Plan Interns help support strategic projects relating to our provider databases and pharmacy operations.
Interns in the Health Care Operations and Health Plan Operations departments have the opportunity to be a part of the Hanley Center Intern Program. |
Marketing
Marketing Interns will aid in coordinating and producing material and content that represents the Martin's Point brand and services.
Information Technology
IT Interns will be able to develop skills related to the maintenance and security all of the Martin's Point systems, applications, data, and networks.
Business and Finance
Finance Interns will learn about preserving the financial health of Martin's Point, ensuring the business runs smoothly and sustainably.
Human Resources
HR Interns gain experience in talent recruitment, handling employee compensation, benefits, training, development, and more.
Summer interns must be enrolled in a two- or four-year degree program (Associates or Bachelors) at the time of application.
Additionally, summer interns must reside in the state of Maine throughout the internship program and be able to commute to Portland as need.
