Maine Audubon works to conserve Maine’s wildlife and wildlife habitats by engaging people in education, conservation, and action.

Established in 1843, Maine Audubon is the state’s oldest and largest conservation organization. It operates eight public centers and sanctuaries across the state, supports seven regional chapters, and is backed by 30,000 members, volunteers, and supporters. Each year, it reaches more than 250,000 people through its programs and initiatives.

Through this partnership, Martin's Point works to connect our community to Maine’s bountiful natural wonders while promoting outdoor exercise – advancing good mental and physical health every step of the way.

The organization's Maine Loon Project assesses the status and works to safeguard the future of Maine’s loon population.

Each year, this project sees hundreds of volunteers take part in the Annual Loon Count, venturing onto lakes and ponds across Maine to count loons. The data collected helps scientists record loon population estimates and track any emerging trends.

The Martin's Point objective is to make sure that people are healthy. And by partaking in Maine’s great outdoor resources, what better way to live and stay healthy?”
