Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults. In fact, one in four adults aged 65 and older falls each year, and these falls can lead to serious injuries, hospitalizations, or a loss of independence.

It’s important to pay attention to your balance, strength, and overall mobility. If you feel unsteady, notice difficulty with balance, or have experienced a near-fall, talk with your doctor. They can assess your risk, review medications, suggest exercises to improve strength and stability, and refer you to resources like physical therapy if needed.
