Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program

MCHPP volunteers sorting food

Working to create a community where quality, nutritious food is available for all.

Since 1983, the mission of the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program (MCHPP) is to offer dignity and empowerment by providing all members of the community with access to healthy food.

With the help of over 700 volunteers, MCHPP operates a variety of programs throughout mid coast Maine, including their grocery/food pantry, a community kitchen space, as well as a soup kitchen that provides homemade grab-and-go meals.

Martin's Point supports MCHPP through both financial contributions and volunteerism.
