Initially founded in 2004 as a story-sharing site for people going through cancer treatment, the My Breast Cancer Support initiative now focuses its efforts on helping local patients.
Since 2011, the organization has assisted with the physical, emotional, and financial challenges people face during their breast cancer journey through several programs, including grants, online support groups, hope chests, and gift bags. They also fund cancer programs for kids and provide scholarships for cancer programs and retreats.
Martin's Point 17-year commitment of support—including sponsorship of their "Celebrate Pink 5K" fundraiser—has helped this local organization fulfill their mission of providing financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families in coastal New Hampshire and southern Maine.
