A few things to talk about.

Some health changes are easy to brush off or may feel a little awkward to talk about. Your wellness or annual visit is a good time to bring them up, even if they don’t seem like the main reason you’re there.

A few things your care team would want to know about:

  • Falls or balance. Tell your provider if you’ve fallen, feel less steady on your feet, or worry about falling.
  • Bladder changes. If you’re noticing leakage or other changes, let your provider know. There may be ways to help.
  • Physical activity. Talk about how active you are, whether that has changed, and anything that makes it harder to move safely or comfortably.
  • Mental health. If you’ve been feeling down, anxious, lonely, or just not quite like yourself, bring that up, too.

Why these conversations matter.

These conversations help your care team understand how you’re doing overall and connect you with the right support when you need it.
