Martin’s Point adopts evidence-based Clinical Practice Guidelines from nationally recognized organizations, including government agencies, voluntary health organizations, and medical specialty societies. These guidelines provide a resource for best practices and help standardize care across the provider network.
The guidelines support health and disease management programs, quality improvement initiatives, and the Martin’s Point PCP Payment Model and HEDIS® results analysis.
Clinical Practice Guidelines are updated by the Martin’s Point Utilization Committee annually or sooner if new scientific evidence supports revisions. The guidelines are also reviewed by the Physician Advisory Group to ensure they meet the needs of health plan populations.
These guidelines help ensure that care delivery follows best practices, leading to better patient outcomes and improved health plan performance.
