Portland Health Care Center Entrance & Parking Update

We're pleased to share an update on our Portland Health Care Center construction project.

Patient Drop Off: The Portland Health Care Center main building entrance and drop-off circle are now open. Patients can be dropped off and picked up in front of the main entrance. We recommend that patients using transportation services use this entrance for easier access to the building.

Patient Parking: Entrance to the patient parking garage (upper level) remains closed and is currently scheduled to reopen in mid-October. Until then, please continue to park in the lower-level parking garage (entrance is located at the rear of the Health Care Center—Building 6). Please follow posted signage and allow yourself extra time to navigate the temporary parking pattern to arrive at your appointment on time.

From the lower-level parking garage, there are two elevators and stair access to the lobby with easy, handicap-accessible doors.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue this important work to improve our facilities.

If you have questions or concerns about parking or entrance access, please contact the Portland Health Care Center at 207-828-2402.

Yes. The lower-level garage has ADA-accessible elevators to the Health Care Center lobby. Elevators are located at the center of the garage entrance, opposite the water side. Signage is available to assist.

We strongly recommend that patients with mobility challenges be dropped off at the main entrance or park in the accessible spaces in the upper parking lot or lower-level garage.

Please note that shuttle buses from assisted-living or other facilities can drop patients off at the main entrance.

Wheelchair availability: Wheelchairs are available at the check-in desk for patient use.

No. All check-in procedures remain the same, and patients should check in at the main check-in area. Patients entering from the lower-level garage can use the elevator or stairs to access the main check-in area.

Vendors and delivery personnel should follow the instructions previously provided by Martin’s Point Contracting Staff.

Entrances and walkways will be maintained for safe access. Please allow extra time during inclement weather.
