Milestone Recovery provides emergency shelter, medically managed detoxification, community-based outreach and health services, housing assistance, and long-term treatment for individuals with substance use and behavioral health disorders in Portland and Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

Milestone Recovery was founded in 1967 as a detoxification program with services focused on people with addiction to alcohol or other drugs who could not afford to pay the full cost of their care.
